UK has as much trouble as Australia in keeping up with their vast amount of independent music talent. Today we add The Traps - another band from Birmingham - onto the 2013 radar. A noticeable contrast in style from their earlier releases, "Feeding Frenzy" is the newest single to drop from metalcore badasses Within The Ruins. The new sound takes what they had and melds it with the new wave of prog and djent that is still sweeping across the scene. This may leave some disappointed that they "gave in", but I find that the modernist movement sits well in this new song.

Today was my birthday, and out of all of the great things that happened, Woodkid's new video "I Love You" was the best present I could have gotten. I've been a huge fan of the French solo artist for quite some time, and this video definitely made me even more of one. The song itself has set up his forthcoming album, The Golden Age, extremely well, and the production quality of the video is impeccable. this is one you really shouldn't pass up.
